ROCKITCAN PRODUCT GUIDE
Please Read Carefully Before Using Your RockitCan!
1. Filling Your Can
Never fill RockitCan above the “FULL” line. Overfilling the canister can interfere with its proper functioning and lead to spills.
2. OPERATIONAL POSITIONS
There are two specific operational positions of the RockitCan:
TAKE OFF (Filling + Storage Position)
TOUCH DOWN (Horizontal Position + CAM connector side down)
3. PROPER VENTING
VENTING VIA VENT PLUG: Never open the vent plug in any position other than the TOUCH DOWN (Horizontal position, CAM Connector side down) for draining contents or relieving internal pressure.
WARNING: Opening the vent plug in the TAKE OFF position can lead to significant spills!VENTING VIA CAM ADAPTER Relieving internal pressure can be achieved in the upright TAKE OFF position by releasing one arm of the CAM dust cover or connector, depressing the trigger of a nozzle attachment as long as nozzle is positioned higher than the canister.
4. BOOSTING YOUR CAN
Accessory attachment: Always place can in the TAKE OFF (Upright) position to attach an accessory, change accessories, or replacing the dust cover.
ROCKITCAN HYDRO
Sterilization Procedure
Prior to using or reusing after prolonged storage of your RockitCan: Hydro please follow the instructions below based on the CDC’s recommendations for “Cleaning and Sanitizing a Water Storage Container Before Use”
Prior to first use only, rinse can with ½ bottle of hydrogen peroxide (16 fl oz.), close the CAM connector and vent plug and swish around to coat all internal surfaces. Let sit for 10 minutes and then rinse out by placing a garden hose in the bottom and allow water to fill and overflow for a few minutes. Ensure all peroxide is washed out before using.
All other times, wash the container with soap and warm water, and rinse completely with clean, potable (drinkable) water.
Sanitize the container with a solution made by mixing 1 teaspoon of unscented liquid household chlorine bleach in 1 quart (4 cups) of water. Use bleach that contains 5%–9% sodium hypochlorite.
Cover the container tightly and shake it well. Make sure the sanitizing bleach solution touches all inside surfaces of the container.
Wait at least 30 seconds and then pour the sanitizing solution out of the container via the hydro spigot.
Let the empty container air-dry before use.
Pour clean water into the sanitized container and cover it with a tight lid.Keep the container sealed with the dust cover or hydro spigot at all times except when filling the container with clean, potable water.
Repeat the above procedure at least every six months and any time you have concern for the purity of your drinking water. If non-potable water has occupied the canister you should follow the above procedure before filling with potable water (water you intend to drink). Always be cautious and clean the canister if there is any concern. Never use the RockitCan: Hydro for any liquid that is not acceptable for consumption and then later use it for potable water. Err on the side of caution!
